Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or onsite. Cancellations will be acknowledged by email. - 25% cancellation fee will be accessed on cancellations received by April 2, 2020
- 50% cancellation fee will be accessed on cancellations received between April 3 – May 15, 2020
- 100% cancellation fee will be accessed ALL CANCELLATIONS received on or after May 16, 2020
- Refunds will not be given for NO SHOWS
- All refund requests are processed after the event
If for any reason the FAA or AUVSI cancels or postpones the event, the FAA nor AUVSI are responsible for covering airfare or any other travel costs incurred by the registrant.
Substitutions will be allowed before a badge is picked up, so long as the replacement individual is from the same organization. Substitutions will not be made once the original registrant has attended any portion of the conference. The original registrant may make the substitution by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, June 8, 2020. Beginning Tuesday, June 9, 2020, all substitutions must be handled onsite and require hard copy/written permission from the original registrant granting the substitution.
Badge swapping or sharing is NOT PERMITTED.
AUVSI reserves the right to accept or reject registrations and to cancel any previously accepted reservations, at any time, at its sole discretion, without liability to the registrant or any other party. This policy was instituted to maintain the professional environment of the show, while protecting the interests of our attendees and exhibitors.
FAA UAS Symposium show badges cannot be reproduced and once a badge has been picked up, it cannot be resold or transferred to another individual. The FAA UAS Symposium show badge constitutes a limited revocable license to attend the current FAA UAS Symposium show. FAA UAS Symposium show badges are the property of AUVSI and may be revoked at any time for any reason. FAA UAS Symposium badges must be worn at all times at the show.
AUVSI, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to decline the registration of any applicant that may violate national security or export compliance laws, including U.S. economic sanctions. Applicants must provide full, truthful information when registering, in accordance with registration terms and conditions.
The FAA UAS Symposium is committed to providing a professional environment free from physical psychological and verbal harassment. AUVSI nor FAA will not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to harassment based on ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all participants and attendees at the FAA UAS Symposium. Harassment includes offensive gestures and verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate photography and recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome attention.
Participants requested to cease harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately, and failure will serve as grounds for revoking access to the symposium.
The FAA UAS Symposium may feature vehicle demonstrations. Any individual who enters the demonstration area, does so at their own risk and shall hold harmless the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), The Baltimore Convention Center, Freeman, and the demonstrating company from any and all liability. Minors are prohibited unless accompanied by an adult.
By entering the demonstration area, you acknowledge and represent that you have read and agree to these terms and participate voluntarily. You further agree to comply with all applicable laws and ordinances.
Photo and Video Policy
Attendees are permitted to use hand-held cameras to take photographs, capture digital images, and videotape within public areas of FAA UAS Symposium 2020 for personal, non-commercial use. Public areas include the session rooms; AUVSI press rooms; lobby areas; and hallways.
Large cameras, photo or video equipment, or ancillary equipment such as lighting, tripods, cables, etc. are prohibited, except in instances where approval from AUVSI show management is obtained. All photographers and videographers are prohibited from entering, photographing, or videotaping non-public areas of FAA UAS Symposium 2020. Non-public areas include storage areas; speaker ready rooms; staff offices; and dedicated meeting rooms.
All photographers and videographers are prohibited from impeding attendee traffic flow, blocking doors, stairs, elevators and escalators, and affecting the safety of attendees. All photographers and videographers must fully and immediately comply with any requests, directions, or instructions of AUVSI show management related to safety concerns.
While attending FAA UAS Symposium, all photographers and videographers must comply with all applicable rules, including but not limited to, this policy, ordinances, municipal regulations, standard operating procedures and administrative procedures. AUVSI show management may evaluate the actions of a photographer or a videographer, and if a determination is made that the actions of a photographer or videographer are not in compliance with any applicable rule, AUVSI show management may terminate the permission granted by this policy.
Full Conference Pass - Industry
This registration category is for anyone in the unmanned systems or associated industries.
Full Conference Pass – Government + Military + Public Safety
Government and Military rates are available to U.S. Federal, state or local government employees, to include active duty members of the military. To register under this category, you must have a valid .gov, .mil or .org email address. Non-US or Allied Governments may attend under this category as well.
Public Safety rates are available to credentialed members of the police, sheriff, EMS, fire service, hazmat and park rangers from federal, state, city, county, campus, and tribal agencies.
To qualify, registrants must be an active employee of a government, military, or a public safety agency as outlined above, and will be required present their credentials, government employee ID, or military ID at check-in for the event to obtain your badge and symposium materials.
AUVSI reserves the right to refuse ineligible registrations.
*Contractors do not qualify for government registration and must register as industry.
Full Conference Pass – Student
Those wishing to register under the Full Conference Pass – Student category must meet the following criteria and present proof of eligibility to qualify:
- Undergrad students must currently be enrolled as full-time students taking 12 credits or more at an accredited college or university
- Graduate students must currently be enrolled as full-time students taking 6 credits or more at an accredited college or university
- Doctoral students must currently be enrolled as full-time research students only at an accredited college or university
Proof of Eligibility
- Full-time student ID with current semester validation
- Certificate of enrollment
Proof of eligibility must be uploaded during the online registration process.
Students registering onsite will be required to bring proof of eligibility with them in order to qualify for the Full Conference Pass – Student category.
AUVSI and FAA reminds conference participants that they are responsible for compliance with regulations limiting the release of export-controlled technology or technical data and the provision of defense services to non-U.S. persons under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). AUVSI and FAA are not liable for unauthorized releases of technical data by conference attendees.
In case the premises for the FAA UAS Symposium is destroyed by Acts of God, war, riot, fire or flood, or the elements or by any cause, or in case of government action, intervention or regulation, military activity, acts and/or threats of terrorism, civil disturbance, epidemic or pandemic, strikes or threat of strikes, labor disputes, or any other circumstances make it illegal, impossible, commercially impracticable or inadvisable to hold the FAA UAS Symposium at the time and place provided, the attendee waives any claim for damages or compensation, except the pro rata return of the amount paid for admission, after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the FAA UAS Symposium and there shall be no further liability on the part of either party. In no event, shall AUVSI, the FAA, its officers, directors, trustees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from the failure to hold the FAA UAS Symposium.
